NPU Joins Crafting "Kankrao" Funeral Flowers to Honor Her Majesty The Queen Mother

NAKHON PHANOM — On October 8, 2026, Asst. Prof. Dr. Prompassorn Chunhabunyatip, Assistant to the President of Nakhon Phanom University, led NPU staff in a workshop to craft "Kankrao" (Tembusu) funeral flowers. The event was organized by the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Community Development Office at the Provincial Administrative Organization Auditorium.

The initiative aims to preserve local wisdom by training participants to pass on crafting skills for the "Kankrao" Nakhon Phanom’s official provincial flower across all 12 districts. The event also expresses deep loyalty and gratitude in preparation for the Royal Cremation Ceremony of Her Majesty Queen Sirikit The Queen Mother.

Participants engaged in hands-on training covering the entire crafting process, from material preparation and bouquet assembly to refined packaging, ensuring effective knowledge transfer to local communities.
