On 26 June 2026, Nakhon Phanom University joined a Buddhist merit-making ceremony to mark the 99th birthday of His Holiness the Supreme Patriarch. Representing the university, Asst. Prof. Dr. Runglawon Eamkusolkit, Vice President for Policy and Planning, attended the ceremony at Wat Sri Thep Pradittharam in Nakhon Phanom.

The event brought together provincial leaders, senior Buddhist monks, government officials and members of the public for Buddhist chanting and almsgiving in honour of the Supreme Patriarch, celebrating his lifelong contributions to Thai Buddhism and praying for the well-being of the nation and its people.
