A comparative of accountant characteristics of students majoring in accounting

      การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษาคุณลักษณะของนักบัญชีที่พึงประสงค์ และเปรียบเทียบคุณลักษณะนักบัญชีของนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 1 และ 4 ของมหาวิทยาลัยในภาคกลางและภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ วิธีดำเนินการวิจัยใช้ระเบียบวิธีวิจัยเชิงสำรวจเปรียบเทียบแบบภาคตัดขวาง กลุ่มตัวอย่างเป็นนักศึกษาระดับปริญญาตรีวิชาเอกบัญชี จำนวน 244 คน เครื่องมือวิจัย ได้แก่ แบบประเมินคุณลักษณะนักบัญชี จำนวน 53 ข้อ มีความเที่ยงอยู่ระหว่าง .89-.96 วิเคราะห์ข้อมูลโดยใช้การวิเคราะห์ความแตกต่างของค่าเฉลี่ยด้วยสถิติ t แบบเป็นอิสระจากกัน ผลวิจัยพบว่า คุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของนักบัญชีมี 7 ด้าน มีค่าเฉลี่ยในแต่ละด้านของนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 1 อยู่ระหว่าง 2.10-4.25 ส่วนของนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 4 มีค่าอยู่ระหว่าง 2.83-4.40 และผลการเปรียบเทียบคุณลักษณะที่พึงประสงค์ของนักบัญชี พบว่า นักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 1 ส่วนใหญ่ไม่พบความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ส่วนนักศึกษาชั้นปีที่ 4 พบว่า ด้านความรู้ทางการบัญชี ทักษะทางวิชาชีพ ทักษะภาษาต่างประเทศ การใช้เทคโนโลยีสารสนเทศ ประสบการณ์และการพัฒนาตนเอง ของนักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยในภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือมีค่าเฉลี่ยสูงกว่านักศึกษามหาวิทยาลัยในภาคกลางอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติที่ระดับ .05 ส่วนด้านที่เหลือไม่พบความแตกต่างอย่างมีนัยสำคัญทางสถิติ ประโยชน์ที่ได้รับจากการวิจัยสามารถนำไปใช้กำหนดนโยบายการจัดการเรียนการสอน และการพัฒนาคุณลักษณะของนักบัญชีของสถาบันอุดมศึกษา

       This research objectives were included the two important parts. Firstly, this research aimsd to study the desirable characteristics of accountant. Secondly, this research intended to compare the accountant characteristics of the first- and fourth-year students, major in accounting, of the universities located in central and northeastern part of Thailand. The research method was applied cross-sectional survey comparison research. The sample was 244 undergraduate accounting students from the first- and fourth-year students in both universities, equally. The research instrument was a 53 items of questionnaires with reliability coefficient between .89-.96. Data were analyzed by independent t-test. The research results found seven aspects of accountant desired characteristics. The average score in each area of the first-year students were between 2.10-4.25, while the fourth-year students were between 2.83-4.40. The comparison of the accountants’ desirable characteristics of the first-year students between both universities showed that they were mostly similar as following to thestatistically significant difference. Whereas, the results of the comparison fourth-year students between the two universities suggested that the following capabilities including accounting knowledge, accounting professional skills, foreign language skill, applications of the information technology skills, experience and self-development of the students in northeastern university:; were significantly higher than those of the students in central university at the .05 level. Whereas the rest of the students’ characteristics did not represent any significant result. , The research contributions can be applied to the policy implementation as for teaching and learning management and for developing the accountants’ desirable characteristics of the Higher Education Institutions’ students.
