พฤติกรรมวัยรุ่นติดเกมส์ออนไลน์จนก่อคดีลักทรัพย์: กรณีศึกษา อำเภอสัตหีบ จังหวัดชลบุรี |

การวิจัยครั้งนี้มีวัตถุประสงค์เพื่อศึกษา 1) พฤติกรรมของวัยรุ่นที่ติดเกมส์ออนไลน์จนก่อคดีลักทรัพย์ 2) สาเหตุการติดเกมส์ออนไลน์ในวัยรุ่น ใช้ระเบียบการวิจัยเชิงคุณภาพในการศึกษาโดยใช้แบบสังเกตพฤติกรรมของกลุ่มเป้าหมายและการสัมภาษณ์เจาะลึกทั้งไม่เป็นทางการ และเป็นทางการ ผลการวิจัยพบว่า 1) พฤติกรรมของวัยรุ่นติดเกมส์จนก่อคดีลักทรัพย์คือมีความต้องการเล่นเกมส์อย่างไม่สามารถควบคุมได้ มีบุคลิกภาพเงียบขรึม ก้าวร้าวในบางครั้ง รู้สึกว่าเกมส์เป็นสิ่งที่ท้าทายให้พวกเขาได้แสดงความสามารถและน่าสนใจกว่ากิจกรรมอื่นๆ เพราะตอบโจทย์ที่ต้องการได้ ในโลกของความเป็นจริงพวกเขาไม่สามารถเอาชนะทุกอย่างได้ แต่ในเกมส์พวกเขาสามารถทำได้ เกมส์จึงเป็นสิ่งเติมเต็มจินตนาการในวัยเด็กที่หายไป พวกเขารู้สึกมีความสุขที่ได้อยู่ในโลกที่เป็นที่ยอมรับ ได้ชัยชนะ ในขณะที่ชีวิตจริงไม่อาจค้นหาหรือได้รับทั้งหมด 2) พฤติกรรมวัยรุ่นติดเกมส์ออนไลน์จนก่อคดีลักทรัพย์มีความสัมพันธ์กับสภาพครอบครัวที่มีลักษณะแตกแยก ฐานะยากจน พ่อแม่ไม่มีเวลาสนใจลูก คบเพื่อนที่ชอบเกมส์ออนไลน์เหมือนกัน อยู่ในสังคมคล้ายกัน และได้รับข้อมูลข่าวสารในทิศทางเดียวกัน

The objectives of the study were to investigate: 1) the behavior of teenagers so addicted to online games that they committed crimes of burglary, and 2) the cause of being addicted to online games by teenagers. The qualitative research methodology was employed in study through the use of a form for observing the target group’s behavior and the use of both formal and informal in-depth interviews. The findings revealed as follows. 1) The behavior of teenagers so addicted to online games that they committed crimes of burglary can be described that their need to play online games was beyond their own ability to control. They had a quiet personality and sometimes were aggressive. They felt that the games are challenging them to show their ability; and they are more attractive than other activities because they can meet their need. In the world of reality, they cannot win everything, but in the games they can do. Playing a game is to fulfill the fantasies of their childhood lost. They felt happy to be in a world of respect for the victory, while in real life they cannot find or get through. 2) The behavior of teenagers so addicted to online games that they committed crimes of burglary was related to a split-up family, poverty, parents’ having no time to take care of their own children, having some friends who had been also addicted to online games, living in the similar society and receiving information in the same direction.
