The research study aimed to develop the model program to compare the image likeness by using-developed
algorithm. Presently, the image-based system which is used for identity verification and specification is costly and
available only in certain units. Through observation, it could be seen that the trend in utilizing image identification and
data verification had continued upwards.
Therefore, it was vital to develop and conduct a research on the process of digital image comparison. In this
research, the algorithm used for digital image comparison had been investigated and designed with the aim of
applying it to the units responsible for physical verification. Also, the process of identity verification and specification
needed to use the physical comparison at the first stage. Using physical appearance substantially helped reduce cost
when compared with the DNA testing, even though the result had low reliability.
This research presented technical knowledge and application approaches with other necessary examples to
develop the prototype of digital image comparison and to strengthen the researcher’s competency for further
development in the future.
