On April 29, 2026, Nakhon Phanom University was awarded the Thailand MICE Venue Standard (TMVS) by the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau. Representing the university on behalf of the President, Dr. Kantapop Buathong, Assistant to the President, received the award during MICE Standards Day 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center in Bangkok.

The recognition highlights the Vajirabophit Auditorium as a high-quality venue for conferences, seminars, and exhibitions that meet national industry standards. It also reflects the university’s readiness to host large-scale events and its growing role in supporting the development of regional events and Thailand’s MICE industry.
