On April 22, 2026, Nakhon Phanom University launched a provincial workshop at the Boromarajonani College of Nursing, Nakhon Phanom to overhaul diabetes prevention and control. The event drew over 70 local leaders and health experts from 18 districts to co-design sustainable community health strategies.
Dr. Supranee Sittikan, Dean of the College, opened the session and outlined the College’s policy of integrating health knowledge into sustainable community development. The session also featured insights from Dr. Sirilak Jaichuang and Mr. Niran Jantapan, highlighting collaboration between the university and provincial health sectors.
Moving beyond theory, Asst. Prof. Dr. Benjamas Pilayon and Asst. Prof. Dr. Kanin Chuaduangpui led interactive sessions to identify root causes and develop tailored interventions. Supported by ThaiHealth, this collaboration marks a critical step in enabling communities to take charge of their long-term well-being.
