NPU and Ha Tinh University Move Forward on Academic Collaboration

On March 9, 2026, Professor Emeritus Dr. Tawadchai Suppadit, President of Nakhon Phanom University, led a senior delegation and faculty from the Mekong Sub-region Studies Center to Ha Tinh University (HTU). The visit aimed to revitalize and expand academic cooperation between the two institutions. The delegation was warmly welcomed by Dr. Doan Hoai Son, Rector of Ha Tinh University, and his executive team.
The high-level discussion focused on developing joint educational programs, specifically the 2+2 and 3+1 curriculum models, alongside student and staff exchange initiatives. Both universities also explored collaboration in Thai language instruction to enhance students' academic potential and future career opportunities. President Tawadchai emphasized that Nakhon Phanom’s long-standing historical and cultural ties with Vietnam, combined with Nakhon Phanom University’s expertise in Aviation, Tourism, Agriculture, and Health Sciences, provide a solid foundation for this international network.
Dr. Doan Hoai Son expressed his full support for advancing personnel development, postgraduate studies, and joint international conferences. To ensure sustainable results, both universities plan to renew their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and move forward with concrete projects that will solidify the educational partnership between Thailand and Vietnam.
