  • Abstract
  •      This study aimed: 1) to find the efficiency of media infographic animation in the course of ‘Seminar in Computers for Education’ based on the Information Technology Competency Promoting Activities (SSPC), 2) to compare the pre-test and post-test scores of students in achievement of learning using the developed media infographic animation, and 3) to examine students’ satisfaction with the developed media infographic animation. A sample used in the study was 36 third year undergraduate students of computer program, Faculty of Education, Kalasin University who were selected by cluster random sampling. Instruments used in the study included: 1) media infographic animation in the course of ‘Seminar in Computers for Education’, which were appropriate at the highest level ( =4.87, S.D.=0.33) according to the experts’ assessment; 2) a learning achievement test which had the IOC indexes ranging between 0.67 and 1.00, the difficulty values ranging between 0.25 and 0.75, the discrimination power values ranging between 0.33 and 0.67, and the entire reliability coefficient of 0.65; 3) a satisfaction questionnaire which had the discrimination power values ranging between 0.24 and 0.54, and the entire reliability coefficient of 0.79. Data were collected by administering the pre-test and post-test before and after students’ learning and by asking students’ satisfaction with learning through media infographic animation. Statistics used in data analysis were mean, standard deviation, and t-test for dependent samples.
Findings of the study were as follows: 1) The efficiency of media infographic animation in the course of ‘Seminar in Computers for Education’ based on the Information Technology Competency Promoting Activities according to Merguigans’ concept had a value of 1.6 which was higher than 1. It was considered highly efficient. 2) Students’ achievement of learning after the media implementation was significantly higher than that before the media implementation at the .05 level. 3) Students were satisfied with the developed media infographic animation at high level ( =4.37, S.D.=0.58).
