The purposes of this study were: 1) to develop indicators of spirituality of teachers under the Office of the Basic Education Commission, and 2) to examine whether the confirmatory factor analysis model of the indicators of spirituality of teachers under the Office of the Basic Education Commission has a goodness-of-fit with the empirical data. The study was conducted in 3 phases. A research conceptual framework was constructed in phase 1 by analyses of related documents and literature and interviews with 9 academic experts. Phase 2 — developing indicators of spirituality of teachers by inquiries from 17 experts using the modified Delphi technique for 3 rounds. Phase 3 – using a goodness-of-fit test in comparison of structural equation modeling of teacher’s spirituality indicators with the empirical data.. A sample was 535 teachers who were selected on the project of good and beloved teachers by the Teachers Council of Thailand and on the project of teachers with great ideal and spirituality for years 2012-2014. The instrument used in data collection was a 5-rating scale questionnaire. Data were analyzed using basic statistics. Confirmatory factor analysis was conducted using LISREL. Findings of the study revealed as follows. 1) Spirituality of teachers under the Office of the Basic Education Commission comprised 7 main elements, 23 sub elements, and 135 indicators. As for the indicators, they comprised the following: 14 indicators of relationship between teacher and student, 19 indicators of love and faith in the teaching profession, 24 indicators of having the psychology in teaching, 22 indicators of being a good model, 22 indicators of having virtue and ethics, 19 indicators of being in compliance with the role, and 15 indicators of having good human relationships and amicable relations. 2) The confirmatory factor analysis model of indicators of spirituality of teachers under the Office of the Basic Education Commission had goodness-of-fit with the empirical data (c2= 44.53, df =45, P = 0.989, GFI = 0.99, AGFI = 0.95, RMSEA = 0.000, CN = 818.29). As for the arrangement of factor loadings of components in descending order, the results were as follows: 1) being in compliance with the role (2.32), having good human relationships and amicable relations (2,29), 3) being a good model (2.23), 4) having the psychology in teaching (2.22), 5) love and faith in the teaching profession (2.21)., 6) having virtue and ethics (1.75), and 7) relationship between teacher and student (1.00) respectively.
