ABSTRACT
The purposes of this study were: 1) to investigate learning achievement of Mathayom Suksa 2 students in
learning through the 4 MAT learning activities entitled “Law and Making a Daily Living’ in the Social Studies,
Religion and Culture Learning Substance Group, 2) to examine students’ satisfaction with the 4 MAT learning
activity arrangement. The target group used in this study was 33 Mathayom Suksa 2 students who were enrolled
in the second semester of academic year 2011 at Wat Bueng Lek School, Don Nang Hong sub-district, That
Phanom district, Nakhon Phanom province. The instruments used comprised 2 types: 1) type 1 as used in the
treatment, namely 6 plans of learning activity arrangement using the 4 MAT method for 12 hours on law and
making a daily living for Mathayom Suksa 2 students; 2) type 2 as used for collecting data, namely a 40-item
objective test of learning achievement with 4 choices whose difficulty values ranged between 0.43 and 0.70,
discrimination power values between 0.24 and 0.87 and reliability value was 0.86; a 5-rating scale questionnaire
with 20 items asking students’ satisfaction with learning activity arrangement using the 4 MAT method, whose
reliability value was 0.84. Statistics used to analyze data were percentage, mean, and standard deviation.
The findings disclosed as follows. 1) Learning achievement before the treatment among Mathayom Suksa
2 students with the 4 MAT learning activities entitled ‘Law and Making a Daily Living’ in the Social Studies,
Religion and Culture Learning Substance Group had a mean score of 23.63, while their learning achievement after
the treatment had a mean score of 35 .33. 2) Mathayom Suksa 2 students were satisfied with the 4 MAT learning
activities in the Social Studies, Religion and Culture Learning Substance Group at high level.
