The purpose of this research was to study the state and needs of the teacher participation in academic
administration in schools under the office of Nakhon Phanom Educational Service Area 2. The population were
261 administrators, 208 academic teacher’s master, and 208 instructors, total was 2,393.The samples were
97 administrators, 97 academic teacher’s master, and 182 instructors, total was 376, derived by multistage random
sampling. A questionnaire about the state and needs of the teacher participation in academic administration in
schools was used as a tool which had the discrimination between 0.26-0.58 and 0.26-0.54 and the reliability
coefficient was 0.91 and 0.90. The statistics used in data analysis were percentage, mean (X), standard deviation
(S.D.), t-test and f-test. The results of the research were as follows; 1) Participation state of the teachers in academic
administration in the schools with overall was at the high level. 2) Participation State of the teachers in academic
administration in the schools classified by holding a positional status with overall and statistical significantly at
.01 level. 3) Participation state of the teachers in academic administration in the schools classified by working
experience with overall and statistical significantly different at .01 level. 4) Participation state of the teachers in
academic administration in the schools classified by school size with overall were not different. 5) Participation need
of the teachers in academic administration in the schools with overall was at the high level. 6) Participation need of
the teachers in academic administration in the schools classified by holding a positional status with overall and
statistical significantly different at .01 level. 7) Participation need of the teachers in academic administration in the
schools classified by working experience with overall and statistical significantly different at .01 level. 8) Participation
need of the teachers in academic administration in the schools classified by school size with overall and statistical
significantly different at .01 level.
