Abstract
Abstract
The purpose of this work is to study the drying rate of Thai- Panga with Solar-Air velocity dryer. The drying rate
of this Thai- Panga was compared with the drying rate of solar dryer and open sun drying. To study the effects of drying
rate, in drying air-velocity of Solar- Air velocity dryer was varied from 0.1 m/sec to 1.0 m/sec. The experimental results
showed that Solar- Air velocity dryer provides shorter drying time and higher drying rate than those of solar dryer and
open sun drying, especially for air-velocity drying of 0.1 m/sec additionally, it was found that the primary product quality
dried by solar-air-velocity dryer is in an acceptable range.
