Rice (Oryza sativa L.) is a vegetable that most of the world population consumes as a staple food. Causing the production of rice to meet the needs of consumers For Thailand, rice is considered one of the most important economic crops. This is because most farmers in the country grow rice as the main crop. But because Thailand still faces problems of production efficiency, price of exports and various factors In production, especially water factors Because of inclement weather including global warming resulting in drought Nowadays, rice production in Thailand has been affected by the changing global climate. Resulting in reduced production of rice In this research, a variety of native rice varieties were collected from Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon, and Mukdahan by studying the growth characteristics such as root length, stem weight, fresh weight and dry weight. Chlorophyll content Leak Electrolyte Relative water content And drought tolerance ratings Of 80 local rice varieties and 3 comparative varieties which are rice varieties that are resistant to salinity (Poccoli), drought resistant (CT9993) and susceptible to salinity and drought (Khao Dok Mali 105). Planting rice seedlings in an experimental greenhouse Faculty of Science Nakhon Phanom University Nakhon Phanom Province Rice plants were grown in the Yoshida formula. The objective of this research was to collect native rice varieties in 3 provinces in the Mekong Sub-region, namely Nakhon Phanom, Sakon Nakhon and Mukdahan, and to test the drought resistance of native rice varieties in the early stages. Planting by studying the characteristics of plant height, leaf length, fresh weight and fresh root. Dry weight of plants and roots Chlorophyll content Electrolyte leakage Relative water content And drought tolerance ratings From the experiment found that Drought tolerance of rice during seedling phase by measuring various characteristics As already mentioned above Shows that each variety of rice is resistant to drought at different levels, therefore the team can select the strains that are suitable for use in improving rice varieties to withstand drought conditions in Future
July 7th, 2020, Mr. Phhatthawat Iamsom, Director, the President Office, Nakhon Phanom University and Prof.Dr. Chanwit Hanrin, Dean of Faculty of Education, Nakhon Phanom University, representatives of Nakhon Phanom University participated the 4th NaGa Worship Ceremony, There were also 30 students of Faculty of Education performed traditional dancing in order to pay respect to Thai-Lao cultural practice related to NaGa belief. The belief of NaGa Worship has been embedded into way of life of Thai and Lao people who reside in the Mekong River. This cultural event can also boost up local economic, business, investments as well as popularize tourism of Nakhon Phanom. The NaGa Worship Ceremony was held for seven days and seven nights between on July 7th-13th, 2020 at the NaGa Landmark.

June 22, 2020, Information and Administration Building area, Office of the President, Nakhon Phanom University, Mr.Phatthawat Iamsom, Director of Office of the President, Nakhon Phanom University gave a warm welcome to mechanic division staffs of the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Administrative Organization as assigned by Dr. Somchob Nitiiphot, Chief Executive of the Nakhon Phanom Provincial Administrative Organization (PAO) to spray antiseptics for preventing the COVID-19 epidemic spreads for all departments in Nakhon Phanom University for increasing trust and safety to students and staffs, including visitors before the 1st semester of 2020 academic year on July 1st, 2020.

Last year students of Tourism and Service Industry College, Nakhon Phanom University won the 2nd runner-up award of competition with presenting the theme project “Let’s Travel: The journal, do it with Passion” from the YOUNG DMC PROFESSIONAL CAMP 2020 Training.
Last year students of Tourism and Service Industry College, Nakhon Phanom University, won the 2nd runner-up award among three teams. At the YOUNG DMC PROFESSIONAL CAMP 2020 Training between on 16-19, June 2020. This project has been consulted by Dr. Kantapop Buathong, Lecturer at Tourism and Service Industry College, Nakhon Phanom University. It is online training via ZOOM application as for preparing the students to become a new generation of graduate students, who will be an expert in the field of Thailand MICE industry. After the training, the following activities will include test and competition among thirteen teams with presenting the theme project “Let’s Travel: The journal, do it with Passion” The result of this competition should be our NPU pride.
